The show "In Treatment," on the American pay-TV station HBO, is based on an Israeli series, "Be 'Tipul" which was translated and transposed to an American environment. The therapist, played by Gabriel Byrne, undergoes life's vicissitudes as much as his patients do. This in itself seems to have made the show attractive to American therapists. See for yourself.
