Social psychology analysis is or will be having many topics for research arising out of the OCCUPY movement. Here's a sampling of documents that may be useful in this endeavor.
Videos arising from nowhere that are able to circulate through internet and reach thousands of viewers:
"Contagion Ex" (November 16, 2011).
"Occupy Wall Street Song" (October 8, 2011).
The Nation Magazine, one of the leading left wing American Periodicals, in conjunction with The New School in New York City, sponsored a conference with Michael Moore, Patrick Bruner, Rinku Sen, William Greider, and Naomi Klein about the future of the Occupy Movement, that can now be viewed in entirety: Where as Michael More mentioned, "everyone is his own leader" -- for him, being leaderless is an advantage, meaning that everyone can be involved in his own unique way. Student organizer in Occupy Wall Street from the start says his generation understands that their future has been stolen, and while graduating university students now have no alternative but to return home after earning their BA, often with enormous students loan debt, "47% of the wealth of the United States is owned by 1% of the population." For William Greider, having the people as organizers, fostering democratic conversations, is a wonderful thing, and he draws links with other important transformative movements of America's past. Naomi Klein, author of The Shock Doctrine, says that the Occupy movement is starting to win... and she addresses the Occupy Movement's relationship to environmental change (November 10, 2011).
During the week preceding Thanksgiving, students at University of California Berkeley were billy clubbed by police, as were several professors... a couple days later, students at the University of California Davis were pepper sprayed at close range by police. Here's an account from itnnews (November 21, 2011). For more coverage of these University events, consult AWP Notes (November 20, 2011).
